Graduate Recital
My graduate recital is scheduled! It will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 25th in Goldmark Hall at Mannes College. I will be singing Mozart's concert aria, "Alma grande," Hector Berlioz's Nuits d'Été, four lieder by Gustav Mahler, and four songs by Lee Hoiby. Hoping to go out of Mannes with a bang, baby!

Somehow I ended up on your blog for the first time today, though I see it hasn't gotten a lot of action lately. :) Mine either...
I had a dream about you a couple of nights ago--the night of your recital actually.
I dreamed that you had not been accepted into the graduate program you had been working so hard to get into. This was the second time you had tried and were rejected. Your parents had decided to pull the financial plug on your singing education, and you were completely and utterly devastated. You called me. I was surprised, since for the most part, we haven't been in close contact lately, but I was honored and listened empathetically.
You didn't know what to do. I just kept thinking back on all the years I've known you and how that has always been what you pursued and what course would your life take now? I was shocked by the whole thing and sad for you.
I'm glad to see the successes you are achieving and thought I'd share this with you as it seemed pertinent to your most recent blog posts!
Will be thinking of you as a bunch of us get together for the 25 year choir reunion this weekend.
